    In today's society, waste management is critical. The generation of rubbish is doubling every day as the world's population grows. Furthermore, the rise in trash has an impact on many people's life. People living in slums, for example, are quite near to the waste disposal location. As a result, they are vulnerable to numerous ailments. As a result, their lives are in jeopardy. Proper hygiene and sanitation are essential for living a healthy life. As a result, it can only be done with efficient waste management. 

    Waste management refers to the disposal and recycling of waste. Furthermore, effective waste management strategies must be used while keeping the environment in mind. There are different methods and procedures for disposing of rubbish, for example. Landfills, recycling, and composting are only a few examples. Furthermore, these approaches are quite beneficial in disposing of waste without harming the environment. Waste accumulates in our daily lives from a variety of sources. Households, industries, and factories generate both solid and liquid waste; hospitals and laboratories generate biomedical waste such as syringes, gauge pads, and other items; agricultural fields and farms generate agricultural waste such as dung, hay, and other items; and even educational institutions such as schools and colleges generate commercial waste.

    Poor waste management or littering can have a significant impact on some ecosystems, such as marine and coastal ones. Marine litter is becoming increasingly problematic, and not just for aesthetic reasons: entanglement and ingestion pose serious dangers to many marine animals. Waste has an indirect impact on the environment. Whatever is not recycled or recovered from waste reflects a waste of raw materials and other inputs used throughout the product's life cycle, including the manufacturing, transportation, and consumption phases. The environmental implications of the entire life-cycle chain outnumber those of the waste management phases alone. Waste affects our health and well-being in a variety of ways, whether directly or indirectly: methane gases contribute to climate change, air pollutants are released into the atmosphere, freshwater sources are contaminated, crops are grown in contaminated soil, and fish ingest toxic chemicals, which then end up on our dinner plates. Illicit operations including illegal dumping, burning, and exports also play a role, although it's difficult to quantify the full scope of such activities or their consequences.

    There are methods for Waste Management. First is the Recycling, the recycling of garbage is by far the most important method. There are no resources required for this procedure. As a result, this is quite useful in trash management. Recycling is the process of repurposing previously discarded materials. Furthermore, recycling converts waste into useful resources. We can also use the three R's which is the Recycling, Reuse, Reduce. Second is the Landfills, landfills are the most popular garbage disposal method. Garbage is buried in enormous pits in the earth before being covered by a layer of mud. As a result, the waste inside the pits decomposes over time. Finally, the odor and area occupied by the garbage are eliminated using this procedure. And lastly is the Composting, composting is  the conversion of organic waste into fertilizers is known as composting. This approach improves the soil's fertility. As a result, it aids in increased plant development. Furthermore, it is the environmentally beneficial conversion of waste management.

    The Advantage of doing Waste Management are. First, Decrease Bad Odor, waste has a strong odor that is hazardous to the environment. Furthermore, bad odor is linked to a variety of ailments in youngsters. As a result, their development is hampered. As a result, waste management effectively solves all of these issues. Second, Reduces pollution, environmental degradation is primarily caused by waste. Our waterways, for example, are polluted by garbage from companies and households. As a result, waste management is critical. So as to avoid polluting the environment. Furthermore, it improves the city's hygiene so that people can live in a healthier atmosphere. Third, Reduces the Production Waste, recycling products aids in waste reduction. It also creates new things that are once again useful. Recycling also minimizes the need for new products. As a result, businesses will reduce their output. Ad lastly, Produces energy, many waste materials can be used to generate electricity. Some items, for example, can generate heat by burning. In addition, some organic items can be used as fertilizers. As a result, it has the potential to improve soil fertility.

Waste management is extremely important because our planet has already begun to feel the effects of dumping heaps of waste. Governments and local civic organizations must devise innovative waste-reduction measures and raise public knowledge of the advantages of using environmentally friendly products. Even small actions can contribute to the preservation of our planet Earth.

 To the Hero We Call Father

    Our family has always been there for us, in both good and terrible times. Every family member plays an important part in our lives. Father is the family's leader and the person on whom all of the family members may rely. All of our fathers are regarded as our first superheroes, teaching us about virtue and evil. Both our father's and mother's support are required for a full family. That is why we commemorate Father's Day every year to honor his contributions to our lives.

  The first Father's Day was observed in America on June 19, 1910, to commemorate Miss Sonora Smart Dooh's father. Sanora's father, William Smart, served in the Civil War. William Smart's wife died while he was expecting his sixth child. After his wife died, he was left to raise his six children alone. Sanora Smart, William Smart's daughter, wanted to commemorate Father's Day on June 5, the anniversary of her father's death. She believed that while we all admire and appreciate the mother's sacrifices and feelings, no one pays attention to the sacrifices of the father. Not everyone recognizes the significance of a father in one's life. Father's Day should be observed in order to honor a father's life and sacrifices. On this day, we can express our gratitude to our father for his contributions to our lives. It was moved to the third Sunday of June for several reasons.

    Father's Day is celebrated differently by everyone. On this day, many people go out to enjoy wonderful meals. On this day, children present their fathers with presents, greetings, and cards and flowers. Every child acknowledges and expresses gratitude to his father on this day. Every civilization and society places a high value on a mother's sacrifice. The guy who devotes his entire life to the happiness of his children and family, on the other hand, deserves the same respect as the mother. Father's Day is observed in the same way as Mother's Day is observed to commemorate the love of a mother. 

  This day is observed to honor and thank the parent. The parent is the one who does all of his responsibilities without revealing his anguish or pain. After our mother, our father is the person closest to our hearts. Although the love of a father differs from that of a mother, it is the father who strengthens us from within. Our father teaches us about the good and evil things in the world. We don't have to be concerned about anything as long as our father's hand rests on our brow. They always keep their sorrows to themselves and bring us joy. Never forget about our father's struggles. We should constantly honor and respect fathers for their sacrifices.

  It should not just be on Father's Day, but every day, that we express our gratitude to our father for providing us with a joyful existence, for safeguarding us from evils, for showering us with love, and for being our support system and leading us through all of life's paths. It is not enough to love and appreciate our fathers on a single day by posting about them on social media or giving them gifts. Every day of the year, we must recognize their importance in our lives. Our father is the one who will never abandon us.

“Philippine Independence, the most significant event in our country's history.”

    On June 12, 1898, the Philippine government declared independence from Spanish authority, making it one of the most significant events in Philippine history. This is a great day for the Filipino people because it honors the memories and accomplishments of our heroes who have invested their lives, talents, sweat, blood, and sacrifice for the sake of freedom, and all of the events that broke the chains of slavery among Filipinos are part of our history of celebrating Independence Day.

    Since 1962, June 12 has been observed as Philippine Independence Day. The Spanish lost possession of the islands to the Americans through the Treaty of Paris, resulting in the Philippine-American War and, as a result, US dominance of the country. The Philippines did not gain full independence until July 4, 1946. Since then, July 4 has been observed as Independence Day. In 1962, Diosdado Macapagal, the country's ninth president, declared June 12 a national holiday "in memory of our people's affirmation of their inherent and inalienable right to freedom and independence." Republic Act No. 4166 formalized the alteration in 1964. On July 4, a treaty declaring the Philippines' independence from the United States signed, and the date designated as Philippine Republic Day or American-Filipino Friendship Day.

    Many individuals, including government officials, employees, and students, participate in nationwide parades on Independence Day. The primary event, however, is the police and military parade in Manila, which led by the country's current president and includes a speech and a 21-gun salute. A large number of Filipinos spend their days in parks and shopping centers. Many Filipino communities around the world also celebrate the country's Independence Day. Because Independence Day is a national holiday in the Philippines, government offices are closed. In all schools, there are no classes at all. With the exception of retail malls, many businesses are closed. Buses, passenger jeeps, and tricycles are still running, however their itineraries may be restricted due to the closure of streets utilized for parades.

    This day is more than just a holiday; it is a day on which Filipinos commemorate the bravery and sacrifices of warriors and heroes who battled for our homeland. Their courage in fighting colonizers and determination to freeing the land should be honored by future generations. These valiant efforts should be regarded with the same reverence as the gift of dominion. We may have varied ways of expressing our love for the Philippines, but let us value even the small gestures we make to demonstrate how much we care for our nation. Being a law abiding citizen or serving the country in your own small manner is already an act of displaying your love, as is keeping our surroundings clean and orderly. On this day, we also honor the sacrifices made by front-line employees and critical personnel to assist our country in times of need.

    Even though we are currently facing a global crisis because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but this should not be an impediment or an excuse to continue to demonstrate the spirit of a free people. May this day serve as a reminder of our hard-won freedom as well as an occasion to celebrate Filipino heritage, culture, and custom. Our diverse traditions and culture from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao demonstrate that the Filipino character is more than just bold and fearless. Filipinos are gifted and skilled in a variety of fields.

 In You: I Find Strength- Happy Mother’s Day

    When May arrives, we immediately think about Mom. We know we should honor our mothers every day of the year (because they deserve it!), but there is one special day when we should go all out to show our appreciation. One of the most significant tasks a woman may ever play is motherhood. Mothers have an important part in their children's life, caring for, nurturing, and teaching them, among other things.

    A mother is the first teacher and friend of her children. She bears and feeds her child for nine months in her womb. She has been able to decipher her children's every movement since they were born. She loves her children wholeheartedly and guides them in the proper direction in life. She is responsible for her children and ensures their safety in every manner. Mother's Day is a day when we honor our mothers by expressing our love and thanks. The first person a youngster searches for when he or she gets home is his or her mother. She is responsible for her children from the moment they are born until she passes away. We can't possibly tally all of their contributions to our life or everything they do from daylight to night. Mothers continue to do all of their obligations and responsibilities throughout the day, even when they are weary. They never ask for anything in return for the love and attention they pour on us. However, we may thank our mothers for everything they have done for us.

    A mother's entire universe revolves around her children. It is our responsibility to look after our mothers, to never let them down, to never disrespect them, and to never abandon them when they are being difficult. A mother always stimulates and pushes her children to progress and work harder in life. A mother's happiness is constantly dependent on her children; she can never be happy if her child is unhappy.

    In May 08, 2022 we celebrated a mother’s day even though our mother is in another country. Being separated with a mother is hard, you don’t have a mother to hug when you are down, you don’t have a mother to cheer you up and support you in everything you do, and you don’t have a mother to protect and care for you.  But for me even though my mother is separated with us we are thankful for her because she became our wonderful mother, we are forever thankful to God that he gave us a wonderful and understanding mother in the world. Be thankful to God that he gave you a wonderful mother and love and care for your mother because they are deserved to be love and to be take care of. To all mother in the world whatever you are we are so proud to you all because of your sacrifices and love for us. I salute and respect to all mother’s in the whole word.

 The Spirit of Binatbatan Festival in Admist of Pandemic 

    Vigan City, Ilocos Sur, is a city that has stood the test of time. It has a classic Hispanic checkerboard street layout. Calle Crisilogo, the major thoroughfare, features structures made of brick and wood with steeply pitched roofs reminiscent of traditional Chinese architecture. Vigan is a very well-preserved and intact example of a European trading town in East and Southeast Asia. Vigan was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999 because to all of these features. The festival's name comes from the Ilocano term batbatin, which means to separate cotton balls from the seeds of the indigenous fruit kapas sanglay. Binatbatan Festival has its roots in the abel weaving business of Vigan, which existed even before the Spaniards arrived to colonize the Philippines. 

    

   

    The featured Binatbatan street dancing, showdown competition, in which contestants wear "abel" (woven cloth) costumes and sway in their original panagbatbat dances, is the major focus of this week-long celebration. The street dancing started in front of the Vigan Cathedral and finished on Crisologo Street, where old houses were decorated with abel iloco decor in preparation for the house decorating competition. Street dancers gracefully performed with their colorful props and costumes made of abel, boldly saying "Viva Vigan" to a spectacular choreography inspired by the weaving process of abel iloko. We can truly claim that the festival celebration is really pleasurable, interesting to watch, holds attention, and gives the audience pleasure and enjoyment. Today, celebrating this year's celebration is extremely challenging and crucial. With COVID-19 as the evil antagonist, a festival goer's life has taken a tragic turn. All of the great festivals that one might anticipate this year are no longer possible because public gatherings would just exacerbate the virus' spread. Despite the fact that we are in the midst of a pandemic, the city government was able to organize festivities for this festival by going online, allowing Biguenos to settle in and celebrate this important occasion while remaining safe from the illness.

    While the good old days of celebrating the Binatbatan Festival of Festival were far better than today, Biguenos made this a memorable one filled with joy, happiness, and merriment despite the drastic change. The days are colder, the nights are longer, and COVID-19 lockdown restrictions remain, but it is in alert level 1, which means that festivals and other gatherings are permitted. It is vital that we remember the significance of this year's festival celebration, especially if we are unable to commemorate it in the same way as previous years. The celebration symbolizes life's continuation. Its celebration symbolizes the never-ending cycle of life's ups and downs.To put it another way, accepting the reality of our circumstance without holding out hope that things will eventually return to "normal." The spirit of solidarity and resiliency can be felt beneath and beyond the opulence of the festival's costumes and props.

WOMEN'S EMPOWEREMENT

 International Women's Day is a worldwide event that honors women's social, economic, cultural, and political achievements. The day also serves as a call to action for achieving gender parity sooner rather than later. Globally, there is a lot of activity as people join together to celebrate women's accomplishments or to march for women's equality. It is a day when women are honored for their accomplishments regardless of national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic, or political boundaries. International Women's Day has taken on a new global significance for women in both rich and poor countries since those early years. The anniversary has become a rallying point to develop support for women's rights and involvement in political and economic arenas, thanks to the increasing international women's movement, which has been bolstered by four global United Nations women's conferences. 

    Since then, the Philippines' Women's Month Celebration has served as a platform to honor women's achievements while also addressing existing and developing women's empowerment and gender equality issues, concerns, challenges, and obligations. This year's National Women's Month celebration is different from prior years because the COVID-19 pandemic is still ongoing. The celebration was held online due to the government's prohibitions on face-to-face encounters and public gatherings, especially as the number of positive patients or cases continues to climb. The commemoration this year emphasizes on women's contributions to the pandemic's fight, as well as gender concerns aggravated by it.

    Strength is a subjective concept. It could be the courage to accept other people's shortcomings, face your anxieties, or just remove yourself from the things or people who limit your ability to achieve what you want and believe is right. As a result, it is in our nature to be strong. Both men and women are powerful in their own way. We can see how the Earth and human culture have changed over the centuries. Living in current times does not imply that we do not value what our forefathers and elders have gone through in their lives. Gender roles were once highly contentious, thus women's empowerment is an essential and fascinating topic that needs to be explored and safeguarded by successive generations. Gender equality is now being addressed, which is a good thing. Women have free choice and are allowed to participate in a variety of activities that will help them grow personally and professionally. Women are permitted to participate in a variety of societal activities, allowing them to play a vital role in the advancement of human life. Women are powerful in their own way. The term "women" encompasses more than just motherhood and sisterhood. Women make up a large portion of the Filipino workforce. Furthermore, the Philippine constitution permits women to run for public office and serve the Filipino people. Even in the midst of a pandemic, health-care personnel are predominantly female. Women, like men, are sacrificing their time, effort, service, spirituality, and mental health in order to assist the country return to normalcy. 

    For decades, women have been struggling for equality and empowerment. Women's empowerment is defined as boosting their self-worth, ability to accomplish, ability to make their own decisions, and ability to live a life where they can do everything they want. Although it appears that we are on the verge of achieving full equality, we still have a long way to go. Various people have different perspectives on "women as empowered." A strong woman can be a powerful politician, a loving mother, a successful businesswoman, or even a little girl with a strong feeling of self-worth. This pandemic has showed me how essential women are in society, which is reason enough to empower them. We spent most of our time on the internet due to the epidemic, which allowed us to highlight gender equality and women's empowerment. As a result, my perception of what it means to be a powerful woman has shifted. My mother, instructors, friends, and role models are all "empowered" women because they are successful, self-assured, aware, autonomous, and supportive of other women. Seeing women be empowered and recognized for their accomplishments gives me hope for my gender and inspires me to take control of my life as a young girl.

    Women's empowerment is a key step toward gender equality in general. By giving them the ability to feel secure and enhance their talents, we are directly contributing to the future of our society. Although Ladies' Month has passed, we should not forget to recognize the women in our life. Let us aspire to be well-informed and considerate citizens. We should not be ignorant of someone's rights and abilities because of their gender. Women's empowerment should be promoted, or we could just acknowledge women as valuable parts of our community. It's past time for everyone to learn more about the different gender issues that occurred or were more prominent during the health crisis. Gender equality and women's empowerment should be fostered. Let us join forces to defend women's rights all throughout the world. Let's focus on detecting and addressing power disparities, as well as allowing women more control over their lives. Don't undervalue what women can do. Women have the power to change the world. To all woman and all of the people around the world you are way stronger and beautiful as you think. You have gone through all the turbulence at time s you bring smile to everyone face especially to us. You are a gift and blessings to God don’t be a woman but be a empowered woman who promotes unity, respect and lovable one.  3RD QUARTER:REFLECTION 

    It's hard to imagine we're approaching the end of the 2020-2021 school year as the third quarter comes to a close. Despite the fact that the school year is coming to a close, it is still exceedingly difficult and stressful because, owing to the pandemic, we are currently studying at a different phase, online or modular learning. I can't help but feel sad and anxious, despite the fact that I should be happy because, after returning from a much-needed break and passing three challenging periods, we will now enter the fourth marking period full steam ahead, but I have to remind myself that, on the other hand, I gave it my all and that's why I'm here.

    In the most recent quarter of ICT, the type of learning has evolved. We learned about community-based research in the third quarter that we had never heard of before, but it is very similar to what we are learning in Research II; the only difference is that there were only a few parts in making a community-based research rather than what we are doing in Research II; we all know that every community has its own set of differences and similarities, so learning and knowing about your own community is extremely important. Initially, we were given the responsibility of compiling a list of tourist sites, foods and delicacies, culture and traditions, language and literature, and so on. I was irritated to the point of rage. I was having trouble determining what to put on my shopping list. Despite the fact that I've lived here for 16 years, I admit that I don't know much about my neighborhood. Yes, they can call me stupid, but that doesn't bother me since I'm saying the truth. Then I realized how fortunate I was to have learnt how to design my community-based initiative. Despite the challenges I experience, such as a lack of knowledge due to my inability to travel to the region I have chosen for my research project, I believe this allows me to become more connected to and involved in my own community. This research improved my comparing abilities as well as my capacity to form conclusions about what makes our community unique.

    Given my third-quarter performance, I don't think I'll need to make much adjustments in the fourth. I'll just do my best to make it through, overcome any barriers, and finish all of the responsibilities that have been set to me. My study place needs to be organized. I've discovered how critical it is for me to stay within my comfort zone. What works best for me is setting boundaries for myself rather than pushing myself harder than the day before. I'm hopeful that my third-quarter success will carry over into the fourth, allowing me to conclude the year on a high note.

                                   VACCINATION FOR CHILDREN AND TEENS 

Although the majority of COVID-19 vaccines are only licensed for people over the age of 18, an increasing number of vaccines are now recommended for use in children. Some countries have granted emergency use authorization for mRNA vaccines for adolescent use (aged 12-17 years). Children and teenagers have the option of being vaccinated or not. Parents frequently wonder if their child will experience any side effects from vaccinations. The majority of parents are concerned about vaccines due to potential side effects. Some parents want to be vaccinated so that their children will be immune to this disease.

                         One of the most compelling reasons for conducting vaccine research in children is to avoid severe side effects. Vaccinating children will also be critical in attaining a society-wide level of protection crowd resistance, which will minimize the spread of harmful mutations and bring the pandemic to a stop.  THE DAY OF VALOR 

We all live at numerous crossroads, fear and valor being one of them, and when we choose valor, we strengthen ourselves even more, making the choice easier each time. This is how we grow into brave people whose stories are told and retold. A hero who has dedicated his or her life to a cause larger than themselves. A country at work, a community that cares. Always remember and never forget. The Day of Valor, also known as Araw ng Kagitingan, honors the valor of Filipinos and American soldiers during the Japanese occupation of the Philippines during World War II. Major General Edward P. King of the US Army was compelled to surrender over 76,000 Filipinos, Chinese, and American soldiers to the Japanese on April 9, 1942. To get to Camp O'Donnell in San Fernando, the soldiers had to travel 90 miles (145 kilometers). Thousands of convicts died during the journey (also known as the Bataan Death March) as a result of starvation, thirst, and infections.

The captured soldiers remained resolute in the face of defeat, and heroes developed from the experience. The surrender of Bataan facilitated the collapse of Corregidor. The Japanese, on the other hand, would have quickly overrun all US bases in the Pacific if they hadn't taken this stance. Bataan forced them to come to a halt, giving the allies valuable time to prepare for upcoming battles like the Battle of the Coral Sea and the Battle of Midway. The Bataan peninsula was retaken by American and Filipino liberation troops on February 8, 1945. They faced huge challenges and endured hunger and thirst. They marched for several hundred kilometers after the fall of Bataan. We can all see how much they suffer, almost to death, yet they channel their rage into a good purpose, ensuring that the brave and empathic version of themselves leads them to victory.

The Day of Valor was a national holiday until November 26, 1980, when the Philippine government issued Letter of Instruction No. 1087 declaring "Araw ng Kagitingan" a national public holiday to honor those who helped bring democracy and independence to the Philippines during World War II. April 9 was also named as "Araw Ng Kagitingan" by Executive Order No. 203, issued June 30, 1987, to remember the heroes of Bataan, Corregidor, and Bessang. With this year's theme "Kagitingan ay Gawing Gabay, Pandemya ay Mapagtatagumpayan," the week-long commemoration of the Day of Valor was not only a grateful and meaningful time to acknowledge and promote the deeds of Filipino War veterans, not only those who sacrificed their lives, but also those who rendered honorable military service in defending our country to its limits, but it also serves as a reminder that, despite all odds, our We must never forget that the finest form of thankfulness is not to say words but to live by them when we show our gratitude. We should give importance the sacrifices of our heroes and Filipino's bravery should be celebrated.

LENTEN SEASON

            Every year, the Roman Catholic Church commemorates our Lord Jesus Christ's sacrifices during the Lenten season. It is a Roman Catholic custom, and it is a highly special day for this religion. This day will commemorate Jesus' long-ago sacrifice for the welfare of all humanity. Many people do not look forward to Lent. Giving up candy as a kid or sitting through weekly Stations of the Cross come to mind right away. Words like "sacrifice," "discipline," and "self-denial" are frequently employed in ways that imply Lent is a period of suffering rather than grace and spiritual progress.

            Have you ever considered Lent as a once-a-year second chance? Every year, the Church allows us six weeks to reflect on our lives and evaluate if our values and priorities are in line with God's purposes for us. Since most of us have strayed from God's path, Lent provides us with a second chance, or do-over, to "return to God with our full heart." Every year on April 14-15, they commemorate Jesus Christ's sacrifice. The Catholic Church recommends all Catholics to fast and refrain from meat on specified days during Lent to motivate them to accomplish at least a minimum. Fasting entails only eating one complete meal per day, with the possibility of two smaller meals. Abstinence requires abstaining from eating meat, with the exception of fish. Catholics must observe all days of fasting and abstinence, according to one of the Church's precepts.

            We're spotlighting Lenten activities and memories of those who have shared their tales with us. This is a crucial occasion for Catholics to recognize and remember what Jesus Christ did for us to become safe. Their stories range from the religious and traditional to the innovative and unusual, but they all represent attempts to make Lent a meaningful time of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving for themselves, their loved ones, and their communities. Invite family members to talk about their Lent plans, goals, and desires. Decide to back each other up in anything you decide to undertake. Remember that each step gets you closer to our loving God's welcoming arms as you travel through this annual second chance.

KANNAWIDAN SIGNIFICANCE

        

               Before the arrival of the Spanish conquistadors, Vigan, as it is now known, was a prosperous trading post for Chinese merchants and indigenous people from the Cordillera Mountains in the Philippines' north-east. The South China Sea, sometimes known as the West Philippine Sea, is located to the west. The entrance of the Spanish galleons added to the mix of Chinese, Spaniards, and our Filipino ancestors that contributed to the development of Vigan, as we know it today. As the capital of Ilocos Sur, a yearly celebration of the city's culture, history, traditions, local craftsmanship, talents, and agricultural goods, known as KANNAWIDAN, lasted for a week. Anyone visiting Vigan will immediately recognize the Spanish influences in the architecture, which is made up of native items like as Ilocos bricks, kapiz shells, and the cobbled-stone roadway known as Calle Crisologo.

            This contains the primary products of each municipality in the lowland, such as longganisa, chicharon, and iloko pakbet, as well as woven textiles and indigenous handicrafts from the many municipalities of Cordillera. Kannawidan is a celebration of who we are, a thanksgiving, and a sharing of one another's crafts and products for us Ilocanos. We proudly display our culture and customs to the rest of the globe.

            Kannawidan is the Ilocanos' way of thanking the Almighty for not only the many benefits, but also for the province's rich tradition, which includes deep family relationships among the Ilocanos. The festival focuses largely on Ilocano youngsters. It's because Ilocano culture isn't well-known among the province's younger generations. Instead, there is a focus on contemporary dances. Ilocano children will be able to appreciate their rich culture and customs if they participate in projects like this. This is why the Kannawidan Ylocos Festival is held. It encourages younger generations to learn the province of Ilocos Sur's traditional songs and dances.

        Even though there are pandemic, our Governor Ryan Singson make a way to celebrate the Kannawidan.  Kannawidan is not just celebrating it is way to respect our ancestors and even though there are pandemic or so what there is a way to celebrated the Pride of Ilocano. The Kannawidan Ylocos Festival invites younger generations to learn the province of Ilocos Sur's indigenous songs and dances.
