3RD QUARTER:REFLECTION 

    It's hard to imagine we're approaching the end of the 2020-2021 school year as the third quarter comes to a close. Despite the fact that the school year is coming to a close, it is still exceedingly difficult and stressful because, owing to the pandemic, we are currently studying at a different phase, online or modular learning. I can't help but feel sad and anxious, despite the fact that I should be happy because, after returning from a much-needed break and passing three challenging periods, we will now enter the fourth marking period full steam ahead, but I have to remind myself that, on the other hand, I gave it my all and that's why I'm here.

    In the most recent quarter of ICT, the type of learning has evolved. We learned about community-based research in the third quarter that we had never heard of before, but it is very similar to what we are learning in Research II; the only difference is that there were only a few parts in making a community-based research rather than what we are doing in Research II; we all know that every community has its own set of differences and similarities, so learning and knowing about your own community is extremely important. Initially, we were given the responsibility of compiling a list of tourist sites, foods and delicacies, culture and traditions, language and literature, and so on. I was irritated to the point of rage. I was having trouble determining what to put on my shopping list. Despite the fact that I've lived here for 16 years, I admit that I don't know much about my neighborhood. Yes, they can call me stupid, but that doesn't bother me since I'm saying the truth. Then I realized how fortunate I was to have learnt how to design my community-based initiative. Despite the challenges I experience, such as a lack of knowledge due to my inability to travel to the region I have chosen for my research project, I believe this allows me to become more connected to and involved in my own community. This research improved my comparing abilities as well as my capacity to form conclusions about what makes our community unique.

    Given my third-quarter performance, I don't think I'll need to make much adjustments in the fourth. I'll just do my best to make it through, overcome any barriers, and finish all of the responsibilities that have been set to me. My study place needs to be organized. I've discovered how critical it is for me to stay within my comfort zone. What works best for me is setting boundaries for myself rather than pushing myself harder than the day before. I'm hopeful that my third-quarter success will carry over into the fourth, allowing me to conclude the year on a high note.

                                   VACCINATION FOR CHILDREN AND TEENS 

Although the majority of COVID-19 vaccines are only licensed for people over the age of 18, an increasing number of vaccines are now recommended for use in children. Some countries have granted emergency use authorization for mRNA vaccines for adolescent use (aged 12-17 years). Children and teenagers have the option of being vaccinated or not. Parents frequently wonder if their child will experience any side effects from vaccinations. The majority of parents are concerned about vaccines due to potential side effects. Some parents want to be vaccinated so that their children will be immune to this disease.

                         One of the most compelling reasons for conducting vaccine research in children is to avoid severe side effects. Vaccinating children will also be critical in attaining a society-wide level of protection crowd resistance, which will minimize the spread of harmful mutations and bring the pandemic to a stop. The majority of youngsters test positive for Covid, and immunization is their best chance of being healed or having minimal health effects.

According to the WHO Prioritization Roadmap, which defines high priority-use groups based on immunization supply accessible to nations, the elderly and those with comorbidities continue to bear the greatest disease burden in terms of severe disease and mortality. The World Health Organization understands that different countries are at different stages of a pandemic, with differing levels of vaccination coverage.

                         Being vaccinated will aid in the prevention of illnesses and the spread of disease, ensuring the safety of students and staff. It protects teachers and, more importantly, students as they prepare to resume face-to-face classes. Everyone wants to be vaccinated for their own safety and to aid in the prevention of Covid. We are back to our regular routines now, and Covid, I believe, will soon be over.

 THE DAY OF VALOR 

We all live at numerous crossroads, fear and valor being one of them, and when we choose valor, we strengthen ourselves even more, making the choice easier each time. This is how we grow into brave people whose stories are told and retold. A hero who has dedicated his or her life to a cause larger than themselves. A country at work, a community that cares. Always remember and never forget. The Day of Valor, also known as Araw ng Kagitingan, honors the valor of Filipinos and American soldiers during the Japanese occupation of the Philippines during World War II. Major General Edward P. King of the US Army was compelled to surrender over 76,000 Filipinos, Chinese, and American soldiers to the Japanese on April 9, 1942. To get to Camp O'Donnell in San Fernando, the soldiers had to travel 90 miles (145 kilometers). Thousands of convicts died during the journey (also known as the Bataan Death March) as a result of starvation, thirst, and infections.

The captured soldiers remained resolute in the face of defeat, and heroes developed from the experience. The surrender of Bataan facilitated the collapse of Corregidor. The Japanese, on the other hand, would have quickly overrun all US bases in the Pacific if they hadn't taken this stance. Bataan forced them to come to a halt, giving the allies valuable time to prepare for upcoming battles like the Battle of the Coral Sea and the Battle of Midway. The Bataan peninsula was retaken by American and Filipino liberation troops on February 8, 1945. They faced huge challenges and endured hunger and thirst. They marched for several hundred kilometers after the fall of Bataan. We can all see how much they suffer, almost to death, yet they channel their rage into a good purpose, ensuring that the brave and empathic version of themselves leads them to victory.

The Day of Valor was a national holiday until November 26, 1980, when the Philippine government issued Letter of Instruction No. 1087 declaring "Araw ng Kagitingan" a national public holiday to honor those who helped bring democracy and independence to the Philippines during World War II. April 9 was also named as "Araw Ng Kagitingan" by Executive Order No. 203, issued June 30, 1987, to remember the heroes of Bataan, Corregidor, and Bessang. With this year's theme "Kagitingan ay Gawing Gabay, Pandemya ay Mapagtatagumpayan," the week-long commemoration of the Day of Valor was not only a grateful and meaningful time to acknowledge and promote the deeds of Filipino War veterans, not only those who sacrificed their lives, but also those who rendered honorable military service in defending our country to its limits, but it also serves as a reminder that, despite all odds, our We must never forget that the finest form of thankfulness is not to say words but to live by them when we show our gratitude. We should give importance the sacrifices of our heroes and Filipino's bravery should be celebrated.

LENTEN SEASON

            Every year, the Roman Catholic Church commemorates our Lord Jesus Christ's sacrifices during the Lenten season. It is a Roman Catholic custom, and it is a highly special day for this religion. This day will commemorate Jesus' long-ago sacrifice for the welfare of all humanity. Many people do not look forward to Lent. Giving up candy as a kid or sitting through weekly Stations of the Cross come to mind right away. Words like "sacrifice," "discipline," and "self-denial" are frequently employed in ways that imply Lent is a period of suffering rather than grace and spiritual progress.

            Have you ever considered Lent as a once-a-year second chance? Every year, the Church allows us six weeks to reflect on our lives and evaluate if our values and priorities are in line with God's purposes for us. Since most of us have strayed from God's path, Lent provides us with a second chance, or do-over, to "return to God with our full heart." Every year on April 14-15, they commemorate Jesus Christ's sacrifice. The Catholic Church recommends all Catholics to fast and refrain from meat on specified days during Lent to motivate them to accomplish at least a minimum. Fasting entails only eating one complete meal per day, with the possibility of two smaller meals. Abstinence requires abstaining from eating meat, with the exception of fish. Catholics must observe all days of fasting and abstinence, according to one of the Church's precepts.

            We're spotlighting Lenten activities and memories of those who have shared their tales with us. This is a crucial occasion for Catholics to recognize and remember what Jesus Christ did for us to become safe. Their stories range from the religious and traditional to the innovative and unusual, but they all represent attempts to make Lent a meaningful time of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving for themselves, their loved ones, and their communities. KANNAWIDAN SIGNIFICANCE

        

               Before the arrival of the Spanish conquistadors, Vigan, as it is now known, was a prosperous trading post for Chinese merchants and indigenous people from the Cordillera Mountains in the Philippines' north-east. The South China Sea, sometimes known as the West Philippine Sea, is located to the west. The entrance of the Spanish galleons added to the mix of Chinese, Spaniards, and our Filipino ancestors that contributed to the development of Vigan, as we know it today. As the capital of Ilocos Sur, a yearly celebration of the city's culture, history, traditions, local craftsmanship, talents, and agricultural goods, known as KANNAWIDAN, lasted for a week. Anyone visiting Vigan will immediately recognize the Spanish influences in the architecture, which is made up of native items like as Ilocos bricks, kapiz shells, and the cobbled-stone roadway known as Calle Crisologo.

            This contains the primary products of each municipality in the lowland, such as longganisa, chicharon, and iloko pakbet, as well as woven textiles and indigenous handicrafts from the many municipalities of Cordillera. Kannawidan is a celebration of who we are, a thanksgiving, and a sharing of one another's crafts and products for us Ilocanos. We proudly display our culture and customs to the rest of the globe.

            Kannawidan is the Ilocanos' way of thanking the Almighty for not only the many benefits, but also for the province's rich tradition, which includes deep family relationships among the Ilocanos. The festival focuses largely on Ilocano youngsters. It's because Ilocano culture isn't well-known among the province's younger generations. Instead, there is a focus on contemporary dances. Ilocano children will be able to appreciate their rich culture and customs if they participate in projects like this. This is why the Kannawidan Ylocos Festival is held. It encourages younger generations to learn the province of Ilocos Sur's traditional songs and dances.

        Even though there are pandemic, our Governor Ryan Singson make a way to celebrate the Kannawidan.  Kannawidan is not just celebrating it is way to respect our ancestors and even though there are pandemic or so what there is a way to celebrated the Pride of Ilocano. The Kannawidan Ylocos Festival invites younger generations to learn the province of Ilocos Sur's indigenous songs and dances.

THEMATIC PROJECT:

SPREE

    Filipinos are without a doubt the most festive people on the planet. Christmas music begins to play on radio stations as early as September 1st, signaling the beginning of the holiday season. Every city and town in the Philippines celebrates the holiday season in its own unique way. The annual unveiling of the Christmas tree in Vigan, a World Heritage City, attracts a large crowd of locals. The Christmas season has here, and like any other city in the globe, Vigan has its own style of marking the occasion, one of which is by adorning publish buildings and structures.

We are shaped by the traditions, beliefs, and culture that our ancestors left behind. This aspect has a significant impact on who we are as a country. These are the primary reasons why we continue to encourage people to celebrate the birth of Jesus in the midst of the pandemic. We observe the simbang gabi, during which we attend nine mass services in the evenings or early mornings. We also have caroling, but due to the pandemic, this is limited. However, we still have the opportunity to sing a Christmas song and receive money, and we can do so even with our family. During celebrations, parties on the street, notably along the famed cobbled stone Calle Crisologo and its nearby streets are nearly a folk institution. When it comes to upholding a basic public health standard, seeing a flock of Biguenious is not as prevalent as it was before the pandemic. Our traditional people of Biguenious of honoring the birth of the messiah - Jesus Christ - would always have limited festivities as a new normal movement and relaxation among people could not hampered.

    On December 12, 2021, various families with five members participated in this year's Sa May Bahay-Christmas Carol Competition, where each entry was allowed to choose any Christmas song with acoustic or recycled accompaniment to further entice Biguenious families and discern the true essence of Christmas in the midst of the pandemic. Because editing and the use of enhancers and microphones were disallowed, the video's quality, blending, and authenticity were evaluated to select the winners. The Christmas Dokyu Film Competition and Santa Baby–Photography Competition will take place on December 13, 2021, and will showcase the city's diverse film fans as well as charming Biguenious children. Children's Christmas stories were featured in the short films, which ranged in length from three to six minutes. The City Government's many offices and divisions proceeded to bring the Christmas season and happy vibes into their individual workplaces by putting up recycled Christmas trees. During an online casual interview on December 16, 2021, twelve equally young and talented females competed in this year's Little Miss Santa Claus, where the contenders stepped up and exhibited electronically their Christmas-inspired outfits, talents, and wit during a virtual Christmas-inspired interview. Instead of allowing the public to attend this year's opening ceremony, the City's official Facebook page allows them to view it live online. The public's ability to attend this year's opening ceremony has been restricted due to the epidemic, but they can watch it live online via the City's official Facebook Page. During this pandemic, every Biguenious and Ilocano is surrounded with a massive, glittering Christmas Tree that inspires hope and optimism. With the new normal set-up of most events being done online and others with limited participants to comply with the City Covid-19 Task Force's Minimum Health Standards, the Christmas vibes in Vigan continued last December 07-17, 2021 as the annual Artes Ita Paskua of the City Government of Vigan got its way.

    The most difficult battle we are currently fighting is the pandemic, but a year without Christmas is no longer a whole year. Hold on to God since he is the one person we can rely on in times of need. As a result, it stressed that the City pushed through the celebration in order to give hope to the Biguenious and to allow them to still feel the Christmas spirit in these difficult times. In spite of the fear of a pandemic, a Biguenious Family is able to see and understand the genuine meaning of Christmas. The giving of gifts is part of a meaningful Christmas celebration. For Christians, Christmas represents Jesus. Also, Christ is a love symbol.

            The global epidemic had an impact on this year's Vigan City Fiesta. This worldwide health crisis, I hope, comes to an end soon so that we can appreciate things like this without having to worry or fear.             It is incredibly tough to celebrate festivities in the midst of the COVID-19. Everyone is trying to get used to the new manner of spending the holidays. When you are unable to commemorate a major occasion in the traditional way, it can be tough to do so. Various emotions, such as grief and sadness, may be felt by some people. We can cope with this new normal by accepting the reality of our position. To plan how to balance safety and celebration, we must bridge the gap between our expectations of the perfect celebration and the reality of what may occur.

                Whether it's a big or small celebration, it gives us something to look forward to, lifts our spirits, and helps us see the beautiful things in life more clearly. In the middle of a global pandemic, festivals are still vital. Our ability to celebrate has diminished, yet sharing moments with people, even when we are not able to be present, can help us enjoy life's basic joys. During this moment of difficulty, don't let grief or anxiety take over your life; instead, make things that you believe would make you joyful. You should always think positively and eradicate negative thoughts from your mind.

THE END OF THE QUARTER

            People have been fully exhausted and devastated since the pandemic became a widespread fear, inescapable, and worse infection. It was close to bringing the world to an end, impacting and altering many facets of life, including the entire educational system. It was a roller coaster trip, but it was also a terrific way to start with new discoveries and learning how to be well-equipped, prepared, accept reality, and appropriately adjust to step up in the new world of normal.

            Embraced by life-changing discoveries, formed by critical knowledge, and molded by significant learnings. I have truly received a lot of vital information, seized nourished opportunities, and learnt to possess positivism and healthy increasing life features of life through the one-of-a-kind voyage of exceptional ICT learning. This second quarter, especially in ICT, I learned a lot of valuable knowledge and interactive experiences. I learnt a lot of new jargon, mainly in the area of HTML tags. Additionally, I learned about how to use "Notepad," a free program that allows us to write and read unencrypted files. I admit that I had no idea what the app's genuine purpose or purpose was at the time, and I imagined it was a note-taking app similar to the one on my phone. Initially, I was bewildered because there were so many HTML tags to chose from and where they should be placed. I'm always trying to figure out if what I've done is correct or not. Due to a bad or unpredictable internet connection, I also have trouble uploading my HTML files, which bothers me. When I was about to give up on each subject, I told myself to take it one step at a time and take it one step at a time. I look on the bright side and recognize that my failures and challenges should not be used as a reason to give up, but rather as a reason to persevere and work harder.

            Dodging a scorching ball is an unavoidable comparison for overcoming difficulties and problems. The initial difficulties encountered were the uneasy adjustments in coping with the rising new normal education where everything was influenced and changed. It was also incredibly difficult to produce high-quality learnings due to the difficulties in implementing new routine practices. Just to reach sustainability, a sequence of terrible circumstances created too much delay and turbulence. It was tough to find drive while comprehending that reality was hitting us differently, and it was a challenge of distress, doubt, and daunt, as I see it.

A NEW CHAPTER OF MY LIFE

    They say that New Year is a new beginning of our life. The New Year has come and a new beginning is waiting for us. This year, with the prevalence of COVID-19 variation Omicron, people should spend New Year's Eve at home with family and friends. This time of year is when we say goodbye to the current year and embrace fresh beginnings with open arms. Upon its arrival, it marks another opportunity for us to start over, and its arrival is marked with pomp and enthusiasm Due to the rising number of instances of COVID-19 variant Omicron, we plan to spend New Year's Eve at home with family and friends. 

New Year's Eve - It's not only a time to celebrate, but also to start again. Meanwhile, keep in mind that the changes we make must be positive and honorable. We are both positive and bad qualities in humans. When a child is born, his or her heart is pure, and as it grows, it absorbs everything it sees. It's time to mold ourselves into excellent persons as we reach adulthood. By eradicating bad thoughts and habits from our brains and fostering new, positive habits and disciplines as a way of life, we may achieve this. Such a transformation can be brought about by a well-defined resolution. We may prepare our minds to be ready every year. New Year means let go to the bad things happens in past year and make a new beginning and a wonderful chapter of life.  I start a New Year with positive vibes, ready to face the new challenges to my life, a new chapter of my life has already began, and many things is waiting for me. They say changing yourself for a better and I will change myself for a better. I am ready to the thing I will conquer in this year and I am ready to explore and enjoy the New Year.

     

    For every country and individual, the New Year is a major event. It provides us the energy to undertake new endeavors, live our lives with newfound zeal, and delight in the New Year. I learn from my failures from the previous year and make a fresh goal or oath to finish the work with all of my energy in the New Year, which leads to my success. Essentially, it is a festival that infuses us with new vitality, elevating the New Year's significance in our lives. The new chapter of my book has begun and I’m ready to face all the things that waiting for me. For a better life “NEW YEAR; NEW ME”.

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION WITH PANDEMIC

 

          We are mold by the traditional, beliefs and culture that our ancestors left. This aspects give so much impact on what we us as a country. Those aspects serves as the main reasons why we still encourage to celebrate the birth of Jesus amidst with the pandemic. We celebrate the simbang gabi wherein, we attend 9 mass in total in evening or in the early morning. We also, have this caroling but because of pandemic this is being limited however, we still have the chance to sing a Christmas song and give us some money and we can do apply this even with our family.

    We can also celebrate Christmas through giving, to the underprivileged people or orphanage. Moreover, this is a big reason to celebrate because this is the day where our savior was born. We can talk to God and celebrate with God.

     Pandemic is the hardest fight we are facing now however, a year without Christmas is no longer complete year. Hold and trust God because God is the only person who we can lean on in any struggles in life.

NEW NORMAL CHALLENGE

          Children all around the Philippines are experiencing an overwhelming despair and worry that is unique to their generation, nearly two years after the country was placed under martial law. Our children have been affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, as families continue to deal with the pandemic's socioeconomic effects, which have put their livelihoods at risk and reduced their access to basic social services.

          With each passing day, the likelihood of poor children who have not had the opportunity to attend school since the beginning of the pandemic, whether online or offline, returning to school reduces. Out-of-school children, particularly girls, are more vulnerable to child abuse and gender-based violence, as well as early marriages and teen pregnancies. Every November, the United States commemorates the adoption of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child by observing National Children's Month. This year's topic is New Normal na Walang Iwanan: Karapatan ng Bawat Bata Ating Tutukan, emphasizing the importance of ensuring that every child's rights are protected and preserved despite the pandemic's limits.

          For children and teenagers aged 5, 12, 16, or 18, recommendations and vaccines to be used differ per country at the moment. It's critical to keep track of vaccination guidelines and guidance because they may change in the future. Similarly, the Department of Health recently began a vaccination campaign for youngsters aged 12 to 17. It's vital to stay up to date on the newest news, updates, and resources about the virus and its impact on children as we navigate this constantly shifting scenario. End Violence is a global collaboration that distributes the most up-to-date evidence, statistics, and information to protect children from COVID-19 and the risk of violence that comes with it.

     The COVID19 pandemic is causing havoc on children's physical, social, and material well-being around the world, with the poorest children, such as homeless children and children in jail, facing the brunt of the consequences. School closures, social isolation, and confinement increase children's risk of malnutrition, domestic abuse exposure, anxiety, and stress, as well as their access to important family and care resources. To ensure that children have access to nutritional food, are safeguarded from child abuse and neglect, continue to have access to child physical and mental health services, and can securely surf the internet, immediate government action is essential. In order to combat child poverty, policies must also boost parental employment. As a major problem for children tries to derail their lives, a more well-rounded influence that aims for a resilient well-being during this new normal is predicted to emerge.
